Health Assessments

The purpose of a health assessment is to give you an idea of your current health status. This can either then reassure or provide a catalyst for change.

There are many health assessments that are available via providers such as BUPA, BMI Healthcare and Nuffield Health. At Restore Health Clinic the core of the assessment focuses on determining whether or not you have a condition called Metabolic Syndrome which acts as a gauge for future ill-health.

Metabolic Syndrome is associated with the future development of Type 2 Diabetes, some cancers, stroke, dementia and heart disease. The good news about the condition is that it is reversible with appropriate lifestyle changes centred around diet, exercise, sleep and stress management.

What you can expect from your Assessment?

Your Health Assessment will be completely doctor led.

Point of Care Testing (used for screening purposes) will give you immediate health information which will be discussed there and then.

Your assessment will also be an educational session providing you with information as to what is being done and why from a doctor who is trained as a generalist, specialist in sports medicine and lifestyle medicine.

At the end of the assessment you will be given a preliminary report to take away with you, a finalised report days later and a followed up 20 minute video consultation dependent on the health assessment chosen.

This follow up session will be an opportunity to cover any outstanding questions you may.
